Although art historians have suspected for a number of years that there might be a second painting behind "Patch of Grass" it is a new x-ray technology which enabled them to recontruct the portrait of this Dutch lady.

The Van Gogh Cover Up
A new Van Gogh painting has recently been discovered behind "Patch of Grass", painted in 1887 at the Kroller-Muller Museum in Otterlo, Netherlands. Van Gogh is known for recycling his old works and this might be the beginning of a whole new treasure hunt!
Although art historians have suspected for a number of years that there might be a second painting behind "Patch of Grass" it is a new x-ray technology which enabled them to recontruct the portrait of this Dutch lady.
